Students will spend class time practicing appropriate grade level skills with me according to the Common Core State Standards. I will be in communication with parents about what specific learning goals a student has to make the best use of our time. Math skills such as addition, subtraction, tens and ones, two digit addition and subtraction, money, shapes, time, comparing numbers might be things we work on. Sight words from the appropriate grade level Dolch Sight Word list can be practiced. Phonics skills with consonant and vowel sounds, "sneaky e", digraphs, consonant blends, etc. 

I am a certified K-6 teacher with over 15 years experience working with children in several different roles, including preschool teaching assistant, 1st grade teacher, 6th grade science teacher, and volunteering at church with ages infant-seniors in high school.
