US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this on-going class, the students will enjoy a weekly story time about our favorite blue truck and the many different things that happens in Little Blue’s daily life. There will be a craft activity or science activity after each story. Reading aloud to younger students stimulates their imagination and expands their understanding of the world. It helps them develop language and listening skills and prepares them to understand the written word. I love getting the younger child excited each...
*The student will work on story retelling. *The student will make predictions. *The student will practice good listening skills. *The student will engage in conversation. *The student will engage in an art project.
*I am an experienced elementary reading teacher and have a great love for children’s literature and being able to incorporate books into all subject areas. I want my students to be excited about reading/writing and I feel that my passion comes thru in each story I tell!
*Supplies needed will be listed in the classroom the week before each book. *No books need to be bought by the parent.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
*Each story time will involve a craft project or child-friendly experiment. I will list everything for each book the week before so that you can see what will be needed or how much you will need to assist. Ex: scissors, glue.
