In this ongoing course, students will be completing an exciting STEAM style design challenge each week using different common materials, and are welcome to pick and choose dates or attend every week and make some new friends.
Class Experience
In this creative building club, I will create an exciting design challenge each week based on the materials listed. My goal is to use mainly common household materials or found natural materials outside. In the club meeting, we will get a quick chance to show off anything interesting we have made lately (such as the previous weeks completed prompt!), see the new prompt, learn some techniques and get started. We will have lots of opportunities to ask questions, and discuss what is working...
Students will think creatively and apply of their STEAM knowledge to create a project based on the weekly prompt.

Lots of flexibility in materials, I will try to keep them simple and accessible. We will often use paper, cardboard, sticks, rocks, leaves, pantry staple type foods, tape, glue, scissors, etc.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students may wish to use a scissors or something more advanced like an exacto knife to help make detailed parts of their projects. I will address safety and remind them to do so with parent permission and supervision. Please be somewhat available to help so they can find you when they need to cut materials.
