I am excited to have the opportunity to work with your child as reading and writing are key to learning!  I was a classroom teacher in the public school system for 16 years teaching 2nd and 3rd grade. I also worked as a STEM teacher, designing and implementing the program for my school. I then transitioned to the library where I have worked over the past 5 years in an elementary school library. I love sharing my passion for books in all my Outschool classes! 

I earned my B.A. Psychology and hold a minor in Elementary Education. I also have a Master's in Reading and served as a Fulbright Teacher as part of their Teacher Exchange program. With the onset of the pandemic, I was able to work for my state's Department of Education writing their online content for Grade 3 Language Arts and 5th grade science. Having taught just over 2 years on Outschool, I love to keep learning fun and exciting online! 

I believe every student deserves my best and I strive hard to offer high quality instruction. I want your child to succeed and feel confident in the skills we work on in our sessions. I love when a learner's mind lights up and they "get it".  Helping your child make those connections is part of the joy of teaching. It is my goal your child feels more confident and takes ownership of their learning to help develop them into life-long learners. I can't wait to work with your child!
