In this weekly ongoing class, we will practice our cursive penmanship together in a "follow along, Bob Ross ASMR painting tutorial" style. This is an ongoing weekly class and can vary week-to-week, but these are the formats each class will follow: When you join, as a new student to the class, as a welcome, the class (and you) will learn how to write your name in cursive, and if you're comfortable, I'll ask you what your goals with learning cursive are. Do you want to write faster to take notes quickly? Do you want your handwriting to look better? Do you just want something relaxing and enjoyable to take your mind away? If you don't wish to be singled out in your first class, just let me know in advance and we can skip this part if you'd like, though. As we meet up weekly, I'll teach the cursive alphabet in upper and lower case, and we will periodically review it. As well, each class may have some meaningful quotes we can choose to write together and discuss. When there's a meaningful quote you'd like to practise writing beautifully, feel free to let me know in advance and I may teach it in the class and invite a discussion with other students about it as we write it. Another style of class is when someone's birthday is near. We will write positive sentences for the lucky birthday person! Parents or guardians, please read: I have two main purposes for this class: 1. I'd like to offer you a reasonably priced way for your child to learn a useful life skill while keeping them engaged for thirty minutes or more every week. Students can join or leave anytime. 2. My second purpose is to offer students a useful life skill and a chance to chat with myself and other students their age in a peaceful, safe space. They will be learning and practising their cursive penmanship, but the focus of this class is to make room for chats, giggles, fun and connecting. Sometimes the class may go over 30 minutes if students wish to stay longer, but will not exceed an hour. They may join or leave any time and I will always let them know when the 30 minutes is up in case they have another engagement after class. If you're looking for a more academic style class, or this very relaxed style doesn't suit you or your child, I respectfully request that you find another class that suits your requirements. This is the most relaxed and low-key class I offer because I strongly believe it's important to give young people time to connect with others and enjoy life to balance out the pressure of academics.

I've taught my own original curriculum at a high-end private training school for six years, and now I'm working independently to offer my courses online! I have an Honors Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and am TESOL Certified.
I value students learning by having fun and connecting to stories both academically and through life experience. I'm also a lover of debates! I believe in encouraging students to hone their existing strengths and interests to thrive in an academic environment.
I've taught everything from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to 1984, but my ultimate favorite to teach is anything Harry Potter! Critical thinking is also another one of my favorite things to teach.
