Homework
1-2 hours per week. The homework assigned will be connected to the type of lesson. It will be independent work. I will model the lesson in class. Students can review the class recording after class if needed and can always reach out to me for questions and support.Assessment
Assessments will be formal and informal. Informal assessments will be homework practice and in-class assignments. Formal assessments will be summative and based on the individual skill the student is working on during the week.Class Experience
US Grade 5 - 8
The private lessons will be based on discussed topics before the lessons begin. This way, the learning can be customized to your or your student's needs. I am a certified teacher for grades 4-8 and have taught in the college setting. The lessons will be once a week for 50 minutes per session. The topics that can be covered are: Reading Short Stories Vocabulary Practice Reading Aloud Reading Comprehension Figurative Language Skills Grammar Skills and Assessments Creative Writing Expository Writing Argumentative Writing 5-paragraph Essay Writing Informational Writing Narrative Writing Revise and Editing

I teach middle to high-school English, math, social studies, medical terminology, creative writing, essay writing, novel studies <3, and gemology.
I'm a certified teacher from grades 4-12. I also teach at a local community college.
Learning can and SHOULD be fun. Even if a student doesn't LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the subject, it really doesn't matter. Making class fun, safe, and SUPER Interactive is SOOO important to me.
A little about me... I'm a total nerd. No joke! I own it like a badge. I've served our country and I LOVE helping people. I have three rescue fur babies, one amazingly beautiful daughter, and a wonderful husband! My in-laws are as AWESOME as my own parents! I'm blessed for every day I have.
