Early literacy sets the foundation for future success in reading. Based on the Science of Teaching Reading, this systematic, explicit, and research-backed approach combines decades of data taken all around the world on how our brains learn to read. Learn from a certified teacher in a fun and interactive virtual environment,...
Learning goals will be determined based on your child's age, your learning goals, and developmentally appropriate milestones in learning how to read. These goals will be constantly monitored, tracked, and adjusted to suite your child's progress.
Some materials will be needed, such as handwriting paper, pencil, whiteboard & marker, and objects to count syllables and sounds in words. Specific materials needed will be determined when we discuss your child's learning goals.
Assessments will be done through informal observation, as well as weekly checkpoints to determine progress based on the current learning goal.
3 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
