This is the weekly on-going version of the one-time class "Power Within" This class, Weekly Power up has themes and exercises that differ from week to week! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - HOW CLASS WORKS: This class will help students connect with their inner strength both physically and mentally. Every class will focus on students learning and developing competence executing cardio and strength exercises as well as confidence in who they as a person with corresponding activities to inspire compassion for self and others, inner strength and character all while developing connections with others. Check our our Themed Discussion and Visualization topics below. No matter when a learner begins, they will be able to enjoy a great workout and discussion in the progressing weeks. ***Exercises and visualizations will differ week to week! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - EACH CLASS INCLUDES: 1. Introduction to Theme of Class: Discussion time, Journaling Activity 2. A warm up for exercise. 3. Cardio and Strength Exercises & Coaching Activities 4. Cool down and Stretch 5. Final Meditation revisit theme (short ~5 min) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - THEMED: DISCUSSIONS AND VISUALIZATIONS April 9: Finding Inspiration April 16: Showing Up For Yourself April 23: Tapping into Your Feelings April 30: Spread the Love May 7: Hard Work May 14: Balance May 21: Consistency May 28: Reflection - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - WHAT IF I MISS A CLASS: Classes will be recorded for future viewing for learners who miss a scheduled session. Students can still participate in the classroom conversation which will be ongoing throughout the duration of the course. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ONGOING CLASSES ARE CHARGED WEEKLY: ** YOU CAN CANCEL ANYTIME** - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - *-* WHAT IF YOUR LEARNER MISSES A CLASS? Can I get a refund? *-* If your learner misses a class, you will be able to see the recording of the class in the classroom, see all worksheets and you will keep your spot in the class. However, there is no refund for missing a class. If you decide to withdraw your learner because you will miss a class, there is no guarantee you will be able to get your spot back in the class. The benefit of ongoing classes is that new content is presented weekly. The consistency of enrollment allows me to create a high intensity, unique class. Learners keep their subscriptions week to week to continue their placement. Remember classes are recorded in the classroom so your learners can watch missed sessions or replay sessions. **If your student needs to go back to school after COVID 19 at home orders have been lifted (or anytime for any reason) I will gladly assist you in removing the student from class and remove you from additional charges!** From Outschool: "Parents pay a subscription fee every week that their learner is enrolled in the class, Ongoing classes are not subject to the same refund process used by other classes on Outschool. Instead, parents can stop their subscription at any point if they decide that they no longer wish to have their learner enrolled in an ongoing class. If a learner has not attended three consecutive meetings of an ongoing class, [Outschool] will automatically cancel their subscription to the class to free up space for another learner to join. Payments made before their subscription was canceled will not be automatically refunded."
Learning Goals
Students will gain a basic understanding of what fitness is, what are important aspects of a healthy lifestyle, and how important our thoughts are when it comes to inner strength.
We will learn how to set goals, build stamina, and build inner strength.

Parental Guidance
By participating in any this Virtual Fitness class it is the participant’s responsibility to consult with a physician prior to, and regarding, participation in any virtual fitness program and you agree to modify the workout to accommodate your fitness ability. These classes are designed for an at home workout, so be sure to bring your water, towel, weights (soup cans, water bottles or other ingenious substitutes), clear some space to get ready to sweat!
Supply List
Students will need: A journal and writing instrument Yoga mat Small hand weights 3# - 8# or higher depending on ability. Higher isn't always better- choosing appropriate weight/equipment will be addressed A space large enough to jump or turn 360 with outstretched arms without hitting something A willingness to participate in discussions and have fun.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
Finding freedom in wellness is a gift that you can carry with you for life. I believe that fitness is a priority but without looking at our inner thoughts we can only get so far. This class is meant to begin to bridge that gap between body and mind and to be a positive experience.
I have found the ability to love the feelings associated with fitness and therefore fitness. As a personal trainer I teach others how to feel good about themselves, their goals and their paths to finding and maintaining wellness in their lives. Girl Power is based on a similar class I've taught to adolescent girls in person. It was well received and I am excited to offer it here on Outschool.
