Week of April 15-Class 3-Night Time Lake and Moon Painting- This week we will do a simple, night time, lake and blossoms painting Those who are interested in this class, but the time doesn't work, please check out the Sunday Batch . In this ongoing weekly class , we will work on simple drawings and then focus on learning acrylic Painting. If you have done some drawing and enjoy art and want to learn and make simple acrylic paintings, this class works for you. This class is meant for young and beginner painters who want to explore and learn and make simple and beautiful acrylic painting art. and helps to encourage creativity, make art fun and not intimidating and learn some painting vocabulary, techniques and strokes while creating awesome art. Each week we will work on a simple art project that will allow us to acquire and polish various painting skills while creating completed art projects at the same time. We will get more comfortable and confident with using acrylic paints each week. Examples of what students will learn in the class are Introduction to Acrylic painting and a completed project Practicing layering and a completed project Practicing Blending and a completed project Understanding texture and a completed project Things we will paint will be Flowers, Birds, Landscape art, cute animals and more . The Mediums used will be acrylic paints on Canvas or canvas paper Each class is independent of another, so you can join any week Each class may go to 60 mins depending on the number or students. Supply list is posted; if there are any additional requirements like simple things like q-tips, cotton balls etc , they will be specified at least 24 hrs. before class.

Supply List
Supply list Pencil, Eraser, canvas board or canvas paper or acrylic paper like 9" x11", is the recommended size. Acrylic Paints- different assorted colors- Craft quality acrylic paints will also work Brushes - at least 4- 1 thick Flat brush, 2 Medium Brushes ( 1 Round and 1 Flat) and 1 thin round brush. Synthetic Brushes work well for this class. Palate, or paper plate to mix or pour paints Water Cup to clean brushes with Rag or paper towels to wipe the brushes with Flat surface covered with old paper etc. to avoid any mess Additional simple tools may be required like q-tips, masking tape, cotton balls etc. and will be shared 24 hours before class.

I am a full time established artist, a mom, a teacher and and part time volunteer
I have been painting since forever, and have had formal training in all mediums like oils, pastels, watercolors,charcoal etc. This love for art and creativity has led to a full time career as an exhibiting, commercial artist with my works shown in galleries, shows and private collections. My art had also been sold on Williams Sonoma, One Kings Lane and featured in NY billboards and Popsugar.com, to name a few.
Painting is my passion, and so is teaching. I love art, kids, teaching and technology, so this is the perfect place for me combine all this here and to share some skills with wonderful students here.
They can continue to use the techniques that they will learn in the class room , to create their own masterpieces in a learnt art tradition or anything else that they pick up in class.I want my students to feel great about the artwork they create and enjoy their learning experiences.
