Class experience
In this 1/2 hour class, we will work one on one covering the topics necessary to succeed in first grade math and feel prepared for 2nd grade as well! We will focus on first grade objectives in a fun, relevant way. The first grade objectives include: addition, subtraction, multiplication, money values for dollars and coins, measurements in inches, feet, cups, ounces, etc, telling time on a clock, basic geometric shapes (triangles, squares, rectangles, etc), counting by 2s and 5s and 10s, and...
Notebook or white board and something to write with. Also, colored pencils or markers are helpful as well. During some lessons, we will work with counting money. On those days, coins and dollar bills will be helpful. Play money is fine, too. Some blank recipe cards can be used for us to make flash cards, also.
