Students will complete a weekly, recurring, private lesson on the flute and/or the piccolo. All ages and abilities welcome. Please message me to schedule a lesson time.
Class Experience
This class is a private flute and/or piccolo lesson. It is for flutists who are just beginning through advanced high school players. We will study tone, technique, breathing, scales, vibrato, and articulation among other flute specific topics. Depending on the ability level of the learner, we will use different method books, etudes, technical studies, and solo literature. I send notes on what was discussed and any assignments from the lesson to practice during the week, I will also make...
Students will be expected to practice between lessons the assignments that are given
Learners will need access to a metronome and tuner. I will suggest apps depending on the learner. Depending on the flutist’s ability level, I will also choose a method book, etudes, and solos to use. Some of these may be available free online and some will need to be purchased. I will send links for materials as needed.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
