Description
Class Experience
We will discuss an important historical figure or event each week in this class. The class will include storytelling, lots of discussion, short videos, slideshows, and games. A majority of the course will be spent interacting with one another while developing a love of history. Multiple viewpoints are presented through the use of primary and secondary sources. I have over twenty years experience working with and teaching students. I have a bachelor's degree in both History and Economics. My master's degree is in Higher Education. I also have a juris doctorate degree in Law. Most importantly, I have a passion for teaching, history in particular!
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
There may be some political and historical events that will be sensitive in nature. All discussions will be kept at an age-appropriate level.
