In this ongoing class, students will learn about French by learning a various theme each week. FORMAT: For each class, I will be using a Google Slide that has important information on a different slide so students can recognize the various keywords or elements. The class will focus on key vocabulary and simple sentences. Students will be able to pronounce various words as they will be asked to repeat. Each class will be structured as: Introduction/Lesson (25-30 mins) We learn about the topic of the week (vocabulary). The students are able to practice the various words. Writing (10 mins) Students will write 2-4- sentences based on the vocabulary they learned. They will also be asked to share their sentences in French. Reading/Closing (5-10 mins) Students will be asked to read 1-2 sentences based on the vocabulary learned in class. We finish class with a period of questions. PLEASE NOTE: -This is not an immersion class. I will use both French and English in the class. -This class is designed for students who are beginners in French (no experience), but learners who’ve taken others of my beginner classes before are welcome - As per Outschool policies, students will be required to identify themself by video at the beginning of class. -Students must have a working microphone to be able to partake in conversations and ask questions -Mondays at 7 PM EST- Week of Nov 6th: Tell me about you Week of Nov 13th: Hobbies Week of Nov 20th: Family members Week of Nov 27th: Hobbies Week of Dec 4th: The Calendar (Seasons, Months and Days of the Week) Week of Dec 11th: Winter Vocabulary Week of Dec 18th: Holiday Vocabulary Winter Break **Class will resume on January 8th** More dates will be added ADMIN INFO: - Classes with less than 2 students will be either canceled and refunded or rescheduled. - Refunds will not be allowed for missed classes.
