Weekly classes will include learning to properly execute basic exercises (jumping jacks, side bends, push ups, bicycle legs etc) Students will have fun exercising to music, playing freeze dance, stretching and balancing. During stretches the teacher will introduce the names of the muscles we are stretching (1 per week) At the end of every class we take a two minute relaxation. Some students say this is their favorite part of class. This class is interactive for students who want to share their dance moves during exercise time (optional). They won't even realize they are exercising they will have so much fun! This is an ongoing class and students are welcomed to join at any time. For reference this is the weekly plan for learning a specific skill and muscle: Weeks 1 &2 Exercise learned: Jumping jacks. Muscle learned & stretched: quadricep. Weeks 3&4 Exercise learned: bicycles. Muscle learned & stretched: abdominals Weeks 5&6 Exercise Learned: Push Up. Muscle learned & stretched: bicep & tricep Weeks 7&8 Exercise learned: various toe touches. Muscle learned & stretched: Hamstring This list will be expanded upon as class progresses.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their overall health by exercising. Learn names of muscles of the body. Learn proper exercise form. Have fun.

By participating in this class, students and families recognize the potential risks of participating in any physical activity.
Families are allowing their students to voluntarily participate in such physical activities that may (unlikely) result in injury. When registering for class, families are stating that their child is physically healthy to participate in any of the activities in this course.
When registering for this course, families agree to accept, knowingly and voluntarily, any and all risks or injury arising out of they or their child's participation in any activities in this course.
Supply List
a good space to jump around. A soft mat or carpet for floor work. Water to drink.
