Class Experience
🥨 In this ongoing class, students will come together to discover true food facts from around the world! 🍡We will travel the world, learning geography, as we time travel back to see the odd, the fantastic and the sometimes disgusting foods of the past. 🍤We will learn through poetry, stories, games and of course the reading of James Solheims's book "It's Disgusting and we ate it!". Sept 6-10, 2022: Introduction - Something's moving in my lunch box! Sept 12-17, 2022: Europe, America and...
💡 Students will be challenged to think on the spot. 💡 To compare and contrast their lives to those around the world. 💡 Public speaking and creative language will be practiced weekly. 💡 We will travel the globe, learning of countries and cities along the way. 💡 Time travel, we will go back to the 1200's and see what they were eating then!
🔔 What better way to encourage reading then to have some fun with FOOD! 🔔 I have a Bachelor's Degree with a Major in Drama and a Minor in English. 🔔 I have performed and toured with a cast where we performed across Alberta, Canada - engaging young students and bringing with us a love of drama! 🔔 I am a homeschool mom myself and I have two children with special learning needs, including Aspergers and NVLD. 🔔 I guide my teaching to each child's unique needs and will support and encourage so everyone feels comfortable and accepted.
