Class Experience

Students will learn to define mindfulness in a age appropriate and interactive way. They will learn how to notice their feelings, identify their emotions, articulate them to others, and learn skills for their mindfulness toolkit with Tokyo the Cat!
My name is Thia Fuller and I have my masters in social work. I have worked within education and social work for almost 15 years. I worked in crisis intervention at a non-profit serving at risk populations where I was able to learn Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) at TCU Child Development department. I taught parenting, nutrition, mindfulness, life skills, and led nurture groups. I have led mindfulness courses from toddlers, elementary schools, professional development, and college courses. I love teaching these skills to young learners in a new and fun way with my cat Tokyo!
Students will be encouraged to practice the skills they learn with Tokyo in their everyday lives.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
