Description
Class Experience
In this class, I will teach students how to improve their clarinet playing. Usually, my lessons start with fundamentals and scales, then we move on to music. If there's something specific your student wants to work on, please be sure to send me a scan of the music ahead of time! My approach is centered on building students' foundational understanding, not just how to play the piece they're working on this week, which is why my lessons always start with the basics. This class is taught in English.
Students will learn how to play the clarinet, how to read music, how to problem-solve, and how to work patiently and consistently towards their goals.
Ideally, students should practice about half an hour a day, five days a week for this class.
Clarinet, ligature, reeds, and enthusiasm! If you have questions about my recommended supplies, please send me a message.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
We will refer to PDF's I provide for scales and fundamentals exercises, and I may ask you to purchase a few books (nothing more than $15) for your student to practice out of.
