Class experience
While the goal of this course is to build vocabulary, it is much more than building Urdu vocabulary. Each week, the kids are exposed to Urdu words and phrases around a specific weekly theme. Through different activities, games, and fun, kids practice the learned vocabulary in class. This enables them to gradually become more comfortable with speaking Urdu, and over time, kids are expected to build vocabulary, along with gaining language fluency to converse in Urdu. Develop comfort and confidence to talk in Urdu as they interact with fellow Urdu speakers. Develop vocabulary related to the theme of that week which will help them to become fluent. Build basic Urdu vocabulary used all year round to develop comfort with everyday conversations. Gain regular and consistent exposure to Urdu through once a week classes.
I am an educator by passion and profession. I’ve majored in Educational Leadership from McGill University, Canada, and I’ve been a teacher for 10 years in both classroom and tutoring environments. I believe in making Urdu Conversations accessible, inclusive, and super comfortable. So, I create my Urdu curriculum for second language speakers in an interactive way, where the activities are engaging, fun, and age-appropriate. I believe in sparking the passion to learn Urdu.
