Welcome to the Percy Jackson Book Club! Each week we will use discussion questions to talk about a different book in the Percy Jackson and the Gods of Olympus or the Heroes of Olympus book series. We will also do a themed activity. Students will discuss questions related to books. They will practice reading comprehension and forming/expressing opinions. They will practice group discussion. They will participate in a variety of themed activities.
Most of the supplies for class are things that are easily found around the house. Some weeks I will send a worksheet or other printable the week before class. A few weeks require recipe ingredients. I will send out the recipes the week before class. Some weeks we will be preparing treats. Please see the week's supply list or recipe for any allergy concerns. Some learners may need assistance using microwaves, blenders, using a knife, or handling hot dishes. Please be available for your learner while they are preparing food. We will be using art supplies and may get messy. We will be using scissors, knives, and a blender. You know your learner best. Please make sure an adult is available to assist if needed.
