Class experience

Students will explore Minecraft maps, work together, and practice winning and losing with grace.
Your learner must have access to Minecraft Bedrock Edition. If you are unsure if your version is Bedrock, please contact me. Your student must have their permissions turned on and they must be able to play online multiplayer BEFORE the start of class. If you are unsure of what you need to have your learner ready or if they have never joined a Realm before, please contact me ASAP. If a student's account is not set up properly when class begins, they will be unable to participate in the class. I will offer them a transfer to a later class if available or credit for another class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1. This class includes battles both between monsters and between players. Minecraft violence throughout.
2. Students who do not follow the rules may be removed from class at my discretion. No refunds will be issued as a result of bad behavior.
3. If you are not sure if your student has the correct set-up to join the class, please contact me. I know it can be confusing.
4. During competitive games I will allow a bit of "trash talk". In other words, I will allow students to say things like "We are going to destroy you guys!" or "I'm gonna get you!". As long as the competition is good-natured ribbing, I will allow it. I will not allow personal insults, i.e. "You are such a loser," or "You lost because of Tom." That is mean and I won't allow it in my class.
5. Sometimes, when we play games, we lose. Make sure your student can handle defeat in a friendly game. If your child is sensitive to pressure, consider whether a non-competitive class may be a better fit.
6. Minecraft allows players to see each other's gamer tags and lets them contact each other outside of class.
We will be playing Minecraft by Mojang. We will play a combination of maps from the Marketplace, maps I built, and occasionally, maps built by my students.
Not an official Minecraft product. Not approved or associated with Mojang.
