My main goal is always to help your child learn and feel confident in the skills they are learning and/or having a hard time mastering.

I love helping kids build their reading and writing skills and confidence. I started teaching English in 2004. I taught English Language Arts for nine years to middle school and high school students. For the last nine + years, I have homeschooled my children and taught English to hundreds of students online. I have experience working with students who have dyslexia and other learning differences, are gifted, have ADD or ADHD, Autism, and speak English as a second language. I have also taught many students who do not like school or are reluctant to read or write. I find my love of learning, patience, and creativity helps students who were frustrated and struggling to find success. 

Homework Offered
I offer ways for your students to practice the skills they are working on, but homework is optional. Some parents like for me to assign work outside of our sessions. I am always happy to set up reading schedules, and assign reading and writing homework, but I leave this up to the parents and students. 
Assessments Offered
While I do not give grades, I will often provide feedback regarding where I'm seeing improvement and what I think students should continue to practice.
