Class Experience
An Entry Level class for beginning or struggling Pre-Algebra Math students. *For students under age 10 Please Contact Instructor* You can do anything 1 basic step at a time! This class is intended for: - Students struggling with Pre-Algebra (or basic mathematical reasoning) - Students beginning a Pre-Algebra class and want inside help, techniques, or tips. - Students who are curious how elementary math works in Pre-Algebra concepts. This is part of the Weekend Algebra Basics...
Students will be able to (SWBAT) - Multiply and Divide using combinations of positive and negative integers - Simplify & evaluate basic algebraic expressions with calculations of both positive and negative integers. - Quickly determine if their final calculation will be positive or negative.
Practice Page will be available.
Pencil and Eraser Notebook paper Colored Pencils (optional) whiteboard & marker (optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Informal Assessment. An exit problem will be used to gauge student understanding. No grades will be issued, however if the student is still confused or appears to need additional time, I will reach out to the parent individually after the class.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
