Students will learn the basics of html in order to create text, links, and images on a website.  In specific, students will learn about html tags, paragraph tags, header tags, metadata tags, text styling tags, link tags, image tags, creative commons and copyright laws for using media created by others, ordered and unordered list tags, and table tags.  

I have been teaching math, special education, and computer science for 14 years.  I hold teaching certifications in all three areas in both Pennsylvania and Maryland.  I teach web design as a unit in my physical classroom during one of the courses I teach in person.  

Homework Offered
Students will be given small assignments within the class which are usually finished during the class.  The most effective way for the majority of students to learn how to program is by practicing.  Most of class time is spent by students typing their own code, with the teacher checking work and troubleshooting errors with students.  
Assessments Offered
There is no official assessment; however, students complete several tasks throughout the course.  The end of the course involves a website created by the student about themselves.  (Students may opt for a different topic if they choose.)
