Description
Class Experience
Students will gain and define the scientific vocabulary of weather. Students will be able to answer comprehension questions related to weather, water, and storms. Students will be given a take home test with answer key and will be able to score 80 % or higher.
I have been teaching for over ten years and my passion for nature intersects at the teaching level. My bachelors degree is in Early Childhood Education. I am currently teaching life science to 3rd and 4th-grade students and I love the elementary age of exploration! Following the Waldorf / Charlotte Mason approach to learning, students will complete hands-on assignments outside the home and share projects with peers via the online classroom. I will equip your student to expand their thinking in creative ways, appreciate the diversity of life, expand their scientific vocabulary, and ignite curiosity.
Homework will assigned weekly with new vocabulary words, hands-on experiments, and comprehension questions. Answers will be reviewed in the following class.
Students will be supplied with many different resources to continue learning at home. Websites, educational videos, projects, and printable sheets will be uploaded after each lesson. It would be very helpful to have a printer available.
Learners will be assessed through informal games and activities.
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
