Class Experience

I am so excited to offer a science class for ages 5-6 that is focused on introduction to the weather. In this class students will be learning the four different types of weather (sunny, cloudy, rainy, and snowy), how to predict the weather by looking at the sky, and reading a thermometer in order to identify warm and cold temperatures. This class will be very engaging by using many visuals, props, and songs. My goal is to make the class meaningful to each student, and to provide many opportunities for student feedback during the lesson. I also use the the technique: I do, we do, and you do in order to increase confidence when students are attempting newly learned tasks. I will provide a couple of worksheets that will be available for you to print if you would like your child to extend the lesson beyond the classroom to assist in retention of learned material. As a follow-up, I will be offering class on "Seasons and Weather" soon!
