Cookies, brownies, cakes, pies, bread and so much more! In this ongoing baking club, we make a variety of sweet treats. I'll share many of my vintage recipes. This class experience is intended to be fun and highly social. Learners will be taught proper baking techniques, how to use kitchen tools, kitchen safety, food handling, sanitation, and many other life skills. Learners are reminded to clean up after themselves. We will be using the oven, microwave, knives, hot pans, hot ingredients, etc. Please supervise as needed. Note that adults may not be on camera, per Outschool policy. Most recipes will be prepared during class and baking time will extend past the class time. A supply list is posted to the class weekly. Many recipes will require baking basics - sugar, flour, eggs, vanilla, butter, powdered sugar, etc. and any additional ingredients will be on the supply list. Recipes are meant to reflect the current season. Traditional US holidays are observed. Parents enjoy this class because they get to enjoy the treats! Examples: (Recipes are subject to change). Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern State University
Hello! My name is Ms Lauren Kimberly Iseley and I live in Oklahoma, USA. I am a mother of a 22 year old and a 15 year old. I home schooled both of my children from kindergarten to college. I love teaching and I am known for being very patient and encouraging.
I hold a degree in Accounting and a degree in Business Administration (Quantitative Analysis).
I really enjoy crafting and being super-creative! Creativity helps expand our minds and helps us solve everyday problems with "out of the box" solutions. Creativity is something that needs to be nurtured in every child.
I also teach math. If your student is struggling in math, it is most likely because they aren't having fun learning! Consider this....you can remember the words to a song but you can't remember basic math calculations. That is because the songs were set to music and your brain associated the song with fun....I teach math based on this principle.
I am an award-winning cake artist and love crafting and baking. I am excited to get to know your student and help them achieve their goals!
