Description
Class Experience
This is an ongoing class. In each class, we will explore that weeks theme through discussion, singing, activities, and dancing. We will start each class with introductions and meet our new classmates. We will then have a show and tell, followed by our story for the week. We will discuss the book throughout the reading. We will sing a song and dance and then we will have an activity. Lastly, we will have our goodbye song. The upcoming themes are as follows: Week 1: Oceans Week 2: Bugs Week 3:...
Students will learn and be exposed to literature, singing, dancing, social skills, and comprehension skills. "By watching and listening to adults model reading strategies during read alouds...Children will naturally make predictions, activate shema, ask questions, make connections, and visualize." (www. scholastic.com) Students will also get practice with social skills, the online classroom, and conversation skills with fellow classmates. Upon registration each week each registrant will receive a PDF of printouts, directions, and supplies for the activity that will go with our book theme for the week.
I have been teaching children for over 20 years. My area of expertise is early childhood and special right learners. I have also been teaching online for over 2 years. I look forward to learning with your child and having fun while we learn.
