Description
Class Experience
I am a Certified Humane Education Specialist through the Academy of Prosocial Learning, a Certified Pet First Aid Instructor through the Pennsylvania Animal Response Team and a Certified High School Counselor in the State of Pennsylvania.
Learners are encouraged to build their own pet first aid and evacuation kit after completing the class. This is not required to take the class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will discuss disaster scenarios where pets were killed or injured such as Hurricane Katrina. This may be sensitive material for students who have experienced a disaster or evacuation situation.
