The learner will improve their understanding of the math concept(s) requested by working with Mrs. Kendra. Example topics can include but are not limited to: ratios and proportions, percents, expressions and equations, algebra, the coordinate plane, the number system (computations with whole numbers, decimals, & fractions, factors, multiples, integers, rational numbers, irrational numbers), geometry (area, angles, surface area, volume, 3D figures), and statistics. 

I am a math teacher at a public middle-high school in Tennessee. I have a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education with a concentration in Mathematics, and I have 13 years of teaching experience with middle and high school aged students. I have worked at the same school for the past 12 years and have taught at the middle school level (6th grade math) and at the high school level (Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Statistics, and ACT Prep). I also have five of my own children ages 3 - 16 that I have taught numerous math concepts to over the years as well. My teaching strengths are diagnosing misconceptions, relating the math to students prior knowledge, and explaining concepts in terms so students can understand.
