Do you love writing? If not, I hope you will after you take this course! We will explore writing personal narrative, informational non-fiction, opinion or persuasive and fantasy writing. You will be provided with a safe and engaging learning environment. We will go in depth each day with a different genre of writing as outlined below: Day 1 - Personal Narrative; We Are Authors! Day 2 - Informational; We Are Experts! Day 3 - Fantasy; We Are Dreamers! Day 4 - Opinion; We Are...
Students will gain understanding of the 4 genres of writing; narrative, information, fantasy and opinion. They will apply strategies to produce a quality writing sample for each genre.
I have been a certified 3rd grade teacher for over 10 years and a teacher on Outschool since 2020. My experience in writing comes from years of teaching writing and taking classes in the elementary world. I have combined the best of what I have learned from all my trainings and experiences to bring students a fun and quality class online. Most recently, I am a published author, so I hope I will inspire your child to become a lifelong writer too. We are all writers!
