Class Experience

Making ice-cream is a fun, easy and delicious way for students to learn how matter is changed by heating and cooling. In this class, students will make their own ice cream and learn how adding salt to ice lowers the melting point. They will make their own observations as to what will happen and then analyze the data. Each child will observe what they experience after 1 minute, five minutes and ten minutes. They will also discuss the color, shape and texture of their mixture. Once complete, students will be able to enjoy their tasty treat!

Hey y'all! I'm just a small town girl that loves agriculture....it's truly my passion! I enjoy teaching Animal Science, Equine Science, Poultry Science, Food Science, Vet Science and so much more!! I've been teaching agriculture pretty much my entire life, as I grew up on a farm myself, but professionally, I have been teaching for over 14 years! I have four children of my own that I homeschool! I look forward to teaching your learners about the importance of agriculture in our world.

I graduated with honors from North Carolina State University in 2006 with a Master's Degree in Agricultural Education. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and Extension Education with double minors in Animal Science and Agriculture Business Management.
