In this one-time class, learners will discuss the book, Sideways Stories From Wayside School. We will play the game, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, as part of the discussion of the characters and events from the book. Learners are expected to have read the entire book, Sideways Stories From Wayside School. This is the first book in the series, Wayside School. We will not read the book aloud during class. Learners will be given the opportunity to share his/her favorite part of the story or character. We will play Who Wants To Be A Millionaire as a whole group. Afterwards, we will complete a directed drawing of Mrs. Jewls. Learners should have drawing paper, pencil, and crayons/makers/colored pencils. Book clubs are a wonderful way to help children discover their love of reading. This course only covers book #1 in my book club for the Wayside School series. You may order the books from popular booksellers. Students should have their copy of the book during class.

I have been teaching for over 20 years. I taught sixth grade for eleven years, third grade for two years, and first grade for the past nine years. I have also taught online ESL (English as a Second Language) classes for the past three years.
