We will how to use these watercolour techniques: - Wet on wet - wet on dry - Layering - Fine detail We will also do some basic drawing and cover lighting. This is a step by step class. I will paint along with my students and pause for questions after each step. For most of the class, my camera will be pointed at my painting and students will be able to observe what I do and follow along. Learners will get experience using these watercolour techniques: - Wet on wet - wet on dry - Fine detail Learners will also learn how to draw a snowman and about highlights, shadows, mid-tones and reflective light.
There is no homework, but if a learner is not finished the snowman in class time I will expect them to do it for homework.
2x Watercolor Paper 6x Watercolor Paint: red, blue, yellow, purple, black or paynes grey 3x Watercolor Brushes: Round Large, medium and tiny Pencil Eraser Fine Black Felt Tipped Waterproof Pen Blow-drier Painters or masking tape
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
If the learner sends me their final painting I will give them helpful feedback. If the learner does not want to send me their artwork I will not be able to give them additional feedback. I do not like to grade art because it is so personal and subjective.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Learners will need to use a blowdryer. This may require some parental guidance.
