Watercolors for Beginners: Around the World! (6 Weeks/Once a Week/Homeschool)

In this 6-week once a week course, students will go on an imaginary trip around the World. In this workshop, we will explore watercolors and wet-on-wet techniques to paint some of the most exciting landscapes of different countries.

Description

Class Experience

In this course, students will be painting water-colour projects. The theme of this course is "Around the World", which means we will learn about 6 continents of our amazing planet. We will visit different countries and together we will create beautiful artworks inspired by these countries' unique landscapes.  

Day 1 - AFRICA. Safari Sunset. 
Day 2 - ASIA. Bamboo Forest.
Day 3 - NORTH AMERICA. Starry Night. 
Day 4 - SOUTH AMERICA. Prickly Cacti. 
Day 5 - AUSTRALIA. Pink Lake.
Day 6 - EUROPE....

Please avoid using print/copy paper. Children get frustrated and disappointed when it absorbs water and becomes floppy and wet. 

Each time we will need: 

- watercolor paper
- watercolor paints (any kinds)
- paintbrushes (a set of brushes with different tips)
- water cup 
- sketching pencil
- colored pencils (to add details)
- palette or plate if needed
-  painters/masking tape (recommended)


I also recommend having a washcloth, paper towels or napkins nearby, as we can get messy!

50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
