Students will make sure all supplies that are needed are within their reach. Students will follow the step by step demonstration shown by the teacher and raise their hand to ask for help or a question. The teacher will check in with the students after each step to make sure no one gets left behind. Students will begin by following the teacher's demonstration on painting a moon using the wet on wet technique. We will set this project aside so it can dry. Students will follow the teacher's demonstration on how to draw a mountain range in pencil. We will add water to the background of our paper to begin the wet on wet technique. Next, we will begin adding green watercolor to the bottom of the sky and continue up adding blue. We will then bring back our project with the moon and add a layer of water to create the moon shadow. Once our watercolor mountain range is dry students will follow the teacher's demonstration on how to begin outlining their mountain ranges using an extra fine tip permanent marker, adding texture and pine trees to our mountain range postcard. Finally, students will add pine trees, a tent, and little birds to their wilderness moon postcard. At the end of the class students will have the opportunity to share finished work with the class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a former K-12 Art Teacher who loves to teach drawing, painting, weaving, ceramics/pottery, and paper crafts.
I enjoy sharing my skills with children of various ages and watch their amazement at what they CAN accomplish.
Many students (and adults) feel they are not very good at art. I break down my lessons into small steps for anyone to create a masterpiece!
I love to read, sew, and create art with my 10 year old daughter!
