In this lesson students will learn biographical details of Katsushika Hokusai life and learn about his style of painting and print making. We will study his famous print and consider why he made it. You will then practise replicating the skills we see in his art. Join me as I instruct you in a fun drawing and painting tutorial. Your finished art work will be something you can be proud of! You need no prior knowledge before attending this class, and will be supported throughout the lesson as I enthusiastically encourage you to produce your very own masterpiece! The lesson will conclude with an opportunity to show work to others (if you wish), and chat within the class as we draw and paint together. I always try to make the class as social as possible for those that wish to join. I look forward to seeing you in class. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello there!
I am a qualified British teacher living in the U.K. I have taught the 3-11 year old children for over for over 15 years. At present I teach part-time at a local school Here I teach 4-8 year olds Math Mastery and phonics.
My other passion is to teach children about the natural world through drawing and craft.
I am a qualified outdoor educator (Forest School Level 3), and cannot wait to bring the outside into your home. By teaching about the natural world I hope to encourage your child to go out, explore and become passionate about the natural world. Through drawing, natural crafts and stories I would hope to build a connection between your child and the natural world, that will light a spark of love for the outdoors, and will last them a lifetime.
I also love to pass on knowledge about my culture, I am originally from Wales, have lived in Scotland and now live in England... so there will be lots to learn in my lessons about these three countries of the United Kingdom.
I would wish your child to be so inspired by my lessons that they would want to find out more independently about art, nature and different cultures.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
