Watercolor Wander: Flower Art Club | Beginner Watercolor Painting Techniques
What's included
1 live meeting
50 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this weekly art club, learners will paint two beautiful flowers in each class with step-by-step demonstrations. Through hands-on practice, they will explore fundamental watercolor techniques and enhance fine motor skills. As learners complete two flower paintings per class, they’ll build a beautiful portfolio that reflects their growing skill in watercolor. The club’s ongoing structure provides a welcoming, familiar environment where learners can connect with fellow young artists. With the teacher’s encouraging feedback, learners will develop artistic skills and confidence. This class is ideal for beginner painters, while intermediate or advanced painters are also welcome to join. 📋Class Structure: - Learners check-in and introduction to materials needed for class - Demonstration and paint along of flower #1 to get learners loosened up - Demonstration and paint along of flower #2 - Learners share their creations to wrap up the class During the paint along, learners are welcome to hold up their painting to the camera for gentle feedback. They are also encouraged to ask questions throughout the lesson through the microphone or chatbox. For classes of more than 3 learners, everyone’s microphone will be muted during instruction to avoid background noise. Learners will be asked to raise their hand before speaking. 🖌️Material - 2 Pieces of Paper: 8.5x11", for watercolor or mixed media - Size 10 round brush: which is about 1/4" (it's okay if you have one that is a bit bigger or smaller) - Size 6 round brush or smaller - Watercolor paint of various color (required are red, blue, yellow, green) - A cup of water - Paper towel Upcoming Classes: [Dec 9 - Dec 15] Alluim + Iris [Dec 16 - Dec 22] Blazing Star + Morning Glory [Dec 23 - Dec 29] Pentas + Agrostemma [Dec 30 - Jan 5] Forget me not + Night Blooming Cereus [Jan 6 - Jan 12] Larkspur + Petunia [Jan 13 - Jan 19] Lilies of the + Valley Gerbera Daisy [Jan 20 - Jan 26] Bottlebrush + Borage [Jan 27 - Feb 2] Dusty Miller + Christmas Cactus [Feb 3 - Feb 9] Bergamot + Spider Orchid [Feb 10 - Feb 16] Queen Anne's Lace Wildflower + Hardy Gardenia [Feb 17 - Feb 23] Bachelor Button + Lily [Feb 24 - Mar 2] Plains Coreopsis + Hollyhock [Mar 3 - Mar 9] Lantanas + Columbines [Mar 10 - Mar 16] Lilac + Marigold [Mar 17 - Mar 23] Sweet Pea + Gladioli [Mar 24 - Mar 30] Diascia + Hibiscus [Mar 31 - Apr 6] Statice + Lewisia [Apr 7 - Apr 13] Snap Dragons + Proteas [Apr 14 - Apr 20] Ageratum + Amaryllis [Apr 21 - Apr 27] Dame Rocket + Balloon Flower [Apr 28 - May 4] Bee Balm + Black Eye Susan [May 5 - May 11] Billbergia + Hardy Orchid [May 12 - May 18] Aconite + Bergenia [May 19 - May 25] Catmint + Cushion Spurge [May 26 - Jun 1] Comfrey + Gaura [Jun 2 - Jun 8] Butterfly Milkweed + Diascia [Jun 9 - Jun 15] Hosta + Primrose [Jun 16 - Jun 22] Pearly Everlasting + Lobelia [Jun 23 - Jun 29] Cardinal Flame + Pansy [Jun 30 - Jul 6] Solomon's Seal + Shooting Star [Jul 7 - Jul 13] Rue + Yellow Loosestrife [Jul 14 - Jul 20] Heliotrope + Toad Lily [Jul 21 - Jul 27] Kenilworth Ivy + Nasturtium [Jul 28 - Aug 3] Butterfly Weed + Maiden Pink [Aug 4 - Aug 10] Clover + Clematis [Aug 11 - Aug 17] Bell Flower + Roses [Aug 12 - Aug 18] Lavender + Water Lotus [Aug 25 - Aug 31] Butterfly + Cosmo [Sep 1 - Sep 7] Tulip + Poppy [Sep 8 - Sep 14] Vine Flower + Cherry Blossom [Sep 15 - Sep 21] Solidagoes + Dahlia [Sep 22 - Sep 28] Hydrangea + Sunflower [Sep 29 - Oct 5] Kangaroos Paw + Daffodil [Oct 6 - Oct 12] Broom + Orchid [Oct 13 - Oct 19] Blueberry + Trillium [Oct 20 - Oct 26] Dandelion + Common Mallow [Oct 27 - Nov 2] Bleeding Hearts + Carnation [Nov 3 - Nov 9] Amaranthus + Anemone [Nov 10 - Nov 16] Alluim + Iris [Nov 17 - Nov 23] Blazing Star + Morning Glory [Nov 24 - Nov 30] Pentas + Agrostemma [Dec 1 - Dec 7] Forget me not + Night Blooming Cereus [Dec 8 - Dec 14] Foxglove + Chinese Magnolia [Dec 15 - Dec 21] Coral Honeysuckle + Cattlianthe [Dec 22 - Dec 28] Violat Heartthrob + Viola Celestial Twilight [Dec 29 - Jan 4] Aster + Alsteroemerias
