[Get $7 off the first class when you use promo code JENNY7OFF247] In this weekly art club, learners explore foundational watercolor techniques through two painting challenges. Challenge 1 offers step-by-step instructions on techniques like mark-making, wet-on-wet, layering, dry brushing and more. Part 2 introduces a surprise prompt, allowing learners to use their imaginations and apply what they’ve learned. With each class, learners build fine motor skills and brush control while creating a unique portfolio of artwork they can be proud of. In a friendly group setting, they’re encouraged to embrace mistakes as part of the process and gain creative confidence. 📋Class Structure: - Learners check in - Part 1 painting challenge: Learners paint along with self by step direction - Part 2 painting challenge: Learners work independently - Learners share their creations to wrap up the class During the paint along, learners are welcome to hold up their painting to the camera for gentle feedback. They are also encouraged to ask questions throughout the lesson through the microphone or chatbox. For classes of more than 3 learners, everyone’s microphone will be muted during instruction to avoid background noise. Learners will be asked to raise their hand before speaking. 🖌️Materials - 2x Paper: 8.5x11 inches, for watercolour or (mixed media - 1x paint brush: around Size 10 round brush (which is about 1/4") - Watercolor paint of various color (required are red, blue, yellow, green) - 1x container of water - 1x pencil and eraser - Paper towel 📅Upcoming Classes: [Dec 9 - Dec 15] Monochrome Magic - One color [Dec 16 - Dec 22] In the Sky - Fluffy Clouds [Dec 23 - Dec 29] Grows in a Garden - Teeny Flowers [Dec 30 - Jan 5] Favourite Season - Geometric Snowflakes [Jan 6 - Jan 12] Misty Mountains - Big and Tall [Jan 13 - Jan 19] Leafy trees - Forest Exploring [Jan 20 - Jan 26] Prickly Cactus - Super Hot [Jan 27 - Feb 2] Rainbow Bubbles - Under the Sea [Feb 3 - Feb 9] Abstract Shapes - Anything But White [Feb 10 - Feb 16] Moth wings - Interesting Insects [Feb 17 - Feb 23] Shiny Apple - Favourite Foods [Feb 24 - Mar 2] Salty Seas - Sweet Tooth [Mar 3 - Mar 9] Mossy Mushrooms - Teeny Tiny [Mar 10 - Mar 16] Snow Day - Rainy Day [Mar 17 - Mar 23] Mountain Silhouettes - What's at the top?
