Student learning will be assessed by their successful completion of finished watercolor paintings.Class Experience
This class will be a live session where students will learn how to use a variety of household materials (salt, plastic wrap, and rubbing alcohol) to create a variety of special effects with watercolor paint. Students will follow along with the instructor in real-time to try out each one of these techniques and how they might use them in their own artwork. We will work through each of these methods and discuss the results we get. We will also discuss ways we might use these techniques in future artwork. As a note, I am happy to teach to single learners and I do not cancel due to low enrollment.
Learning Goals
Students will successfully try three techniques to create special effects with watercolor. They will understand the concept of a wash and observe how colors blend when using wet-on-wet technique.
