Class Experience

Students will learn basic watercolor painting techniques such as priming, blending, mixing, rendering, and creating a resist painting. Each technique will be explained and taught step by step, so beginners are more than welcome! Students will also be encouraged to experiment with color mixing and design/composition. By the end of this class, students will have the knowledge to create their own paintings, as well as strengthen their artistic skills.
A reference image will be provided by the instructor each week.
Please attend class ready to paint with the following:

- A 9" x 12" watercolor paper pad (at least 10 sheets)
- Watercolor paint set with brush
- Pencil with eraser
- Crayons
- Painter's tape
- String or yarn
- Water cup
- Paper towels
- Separate painting palette (plastic lid or plate will work just fine for this)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
