In this on-going lesson, students will make a sketch of an animal in baby form and transform the sketch into a cute painting with watercolors.
Class experience
The world contains a diversity of species, by which the beauty of nature is revealed. This class is designed to help students differentiate among individuals which belong to a species and also be familiar with watercolor painting. Students will be using pencil to make a sketch of an animal in baby shape and paint the sketch with watercolor. Techniques such as blending, glazing, and mixing colors will be covered in every class. SKETCHING: - Pencil (Recommended: 2B) - Water-resistant gel pen (Recommended brand: Sharpie) - Eraser PAINTING - Watercolor paper - A set of 12 (or 24) watercolor paints - NO GOUACHE - A Palette to mix colors - Brushes (Natural hair brushes or Chinese calligraphy brushes) - 2 jars/cups filled with water. - Soft towel (or paper towels)
