US Grade 5
Beginner Level
In this flexible learning schedule class students will learn the basics of using watercolor and create impressive works of art after just a few technique tutorial classes. Students can anticipate a new lesson being posted to the classroom each week. The first 3 weeks students make test sheets using a variety of techniques that they will refer back to in future lessons. The following 5 weeks students will implement those techniques by creating a different work of art during each session. This class is video based. During each video students can expect an opening greeting, supply review, set up suggestions and tips for success. The bulk of the video will be demonstration with detailed instruction for each project. Students will also see several samples of artwork that utilizes this technique(s) and be encouraged to try the same technique outside of the lesson as well. Students can expect a weekly post with supply information, video description and video link. Students are encouraged to share their work in post in the classroom and can anticipate at least one response per week on any posted images. Students are welcome to ask questions, ask for specific feedback and are encouraged to share anything they may have experienced while practicing.
