Class Experience
I have been an art educator for over 20 years. I earned my bachelor's degree in Art Education (K-12) from the University of Central Oklahoma. I have taught in public schools, private schools, as well as homeschool co-op groups and private lessons. I have been teaching art on Outschool since August 2021.
REQUIRED SUPPLY LIST: (we will use all or most of these art mediums each week) *Watercolor paper *Pencil *Eraser *Watercolor paints (tray or tubes) *Paintbrushes (2 or 3): large flat brush & fine point brush **a medium brush is optional *Crayons or oil pastels (We use a WHITE crayon/oil pastel often!) *Black fine tip PERMANENT marker (or a MICRON PEN) *A pack of WATER-BASED markers (Crayola classic 10 pack is great) *Cup of water *Salt (table salt from the kitchen) *Ruler (or straight edge) **Students are welcome to add to this supply list. I am happy to help them incorporate their favorite art mediums to their projects. Additional supplies could include: chalk pastels, artist watercolor tape, colored paper/glue, colored pencils, magazines or newspapers (for collage), parchment paper, colored permanent markers, etc..... **If you student doesn't have all of the supplies, I'll do my best to work with what they do have available. **I often get asked what is my favorite brand of watercolor paints... My favorite brand for kids is PRANG Semi-Moist WATERCOLORS, tray of 8 or 16.
