Watercolor & Crayons Jellyfish Painting! Underwater Art Fun!
Class experience
In this fun one-time 45 min. class we will embrace our inner artist as we paint an awesome colorful jellyfish together in watercolor and colored pencils or crayons! This will be a fun, creative, and engaging class. No knowledge or experience required-just some paint, brushes, canvas, and an eager mind. This fun class will help students bring out their inner artist while learning basic techniques in painting with watercolors as well as a few fun and interesting tricks. We will also be doing some drawing and planning of our own compositions.
I have been teaching in the art field since 2012 and have degrees in art, English and psychology. I am also a published children’s book illustrator. My passion is inspiring kids to set their creativity free and grow through the experience.
-12x16 watercolor paper (size is only a recommendation and can really be done on various sizes but steps may have to be adapted for different sizes) -Watercolor Paint Palette with various colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, brown, black, white (other colors can be used if student wants to be creative) -Colored Pencils set or Crayon set -Paper Towels -Paper Plate (at least 2) -Pencil with eraser -Water cup -Brushes in various sizes (a large #10 Flat, a medium #12 Round, a small #4 liner) These brushes are only a recommendation and we can make different ones work if needed but it is important to have at least one larger brush for large areas and one smaller brush for details. -salt -masking tape can be useful if student wants to tape their paper down while working but it is not at all required
No parental guidance needed other than help with setting up supplies prior to class starting.
