In this class you will learn how to blend watercolors to make a beautiful sunset and water. You will learn what the color does when you add or take away water. You will learn to be patient and let the water work for you. We will play around with mixing paint colors to get the desired color. We will have fun drying the paint in between the layers with a hair dryer. This will be a fun interactive class in which the student will be taught step by step how to make a painting with the Golden Gate Bridge. This class teaches basic watercolor techniques that can be used to create many different paintings. The student may need to finish the painting outside of the allotted class time but will be taught all they need to know to complete it.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, Everyone! I am so glad you stopped by! My name is Sarah Gable. I have been an elementary teacher for 21 years in a private school. I really enjoy making reading fun! I have been a dyslexia tutor for 15 years and have been an art teacher for 6 years. I have so much fun making reading, cursive, and art exciting for the student! I believe it is so important for students to learn how to read by learning the reasons words are spelled the way they are. I really enjoy teaching cursive as it is becoming a lost art and I feel it is important that students continue to learn it. I think art is important so students learn to express themselves creatively. My classes are a fun place for students to have interactive time with their peers while learning. I am a mom to a 15 year old girl and a 12 year old boy. I had wanted to be a teacher from my earliest memory and I thoroughly enjoy seeing students find their passions and interests. I love to have fun in my class rooms. Learning isn't working if it isn't fun!! I look forward to seeing you in my class!
