Description

Class Experience

Learners will gain new skills and plenty of practice using watercolor paints so they can use the skills learned to create more wonderful, unique art on their own if they wish.
I have been teaching children in both formal and informal settings for over 30 years and currently teach Art and ELA classes for homeschool students privately in addition to my Outschool classes. I love teaching art because I love to foster creativity and encourage young artists to enjoy time creating with their peers.
• Pencil and good quality eraser • A set of at watercolor paints • A few medium and small paintbrushes • A water cup • Paper Towel • A fine and an ultrafine black Sharpie • Heavy weight watercolor paper (I recommend size 9”X12” and 110# - 140# weight)
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Watercolor paint is a great medium for children but it does require the use of water. I recommend that learners cover their table with plastic for quick cleanup. In addition, we will be using permanent markers which should be supervised by an adult.

Please note: If time allows, the Zoom white board may be used at the end of class to play a game. This is a part of the Zoom program.
