Class Experience

In this class, students will leave with a beautiful piece of art made with their own two hands. Students will learn step-by-step how to make a beautiful one-of-a-kind creation. I will lead and demonstrate to the class with clear and kind instructions for everyone to follow. This class is great as an after-school activity, that is in a fun yet relaxed setting where kids will get to express their individual creativity in their work while learning to strengthen their artistic minds.
At the beginning of class, we will sketch out our design next, we'll start painting and chat a bit about technique and style, and finally, we'll finish with details that bring the whole project together!
After introductions, we will get artsy together and express our creativity with watercolors!
At the end of class, everyone can share their new creations.
No previous experience is required for this class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn good sketching techniques and watercolor skills, as well as learn to express their creativity.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I'm an art teacher and an artist, I've taught in a private art school, and several homeschool co-ops and private establishments. I teach watercolor, drawing, oil painting, and procreate digital art for various ages from preschool through high school.
My classes are structured to be warm and inviting for all of my students, they can express their individual creativity while having a guide to show them what techniques and tools to use.
My love for art began in my childhood and grow from there, I started assisting teachers in art classes when a was 13 in a homeschool co-op. I was mentored by an amazing local artist and eventually started teaching in his school, before venturing into starting my own business, in the arts.
Growing up with several learning disorders such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and dyspraxia of speech, as well as a mild stutter, art was my escape from tutoring and the struggle of keeping up with my peers. Art gave me something to be confident in and that meant the world to me as a child. I understand how welcoming and empowering the arts can be when you feel out of place in the world.

My inspiration for my own art and my classes comes from the beautiful landscape of my home here in Ohio, its incredible wildlife, and my lovely dog Betty boop who is always in the studio with me.
