Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will gain more confidence in their artistic abilities by learning how to draw and paint in a relaxed and fun environment!
I taught K-8 art for two years at a public charter, have a BA in Art from UCSC (as well as a BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from UCSC) and a Master’s in Education from GCU.
Meticulous drawers and painters may not finish during class time. I encourage all students to finish their artwork if they do not finish during class time, though this is not required.
These are the materials needed for every class!

-9x12 or 8.5x 11 inch paper (mixed media is best)
-crayons
-watercolors
-small and medium paintbrushes
-watercup
-rag or paper towel (for messes/to dry brush)
-apron/smock (optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This is a fun club so I am not planning on doing assessments however, if you would like a quick assessment of your child each week (one to two sentences), I would be happy to provide you with such!
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Accidents happen! Please be on standby in case of a spill or other mishap!
