***** This class will run between 13 July and the 6th August Only. Please feel free to request a time***** This class has a deliberately small class size of 4 to allow for more participation and individual attention for students. Join our 2 pregnant Guinea pigs as they go on the journey from their last week of pregnancy to newborn guinea pigs. We will then watch our new born Guinea pigs grow and develop for the first 2 - 3 weeks of their life. Guinea pigs are very community minded and share the care of the 2 litters that will be born. This class includes a live feed of the Guinea Pigs so you never have to miss a moment! Our sessions will include discussion, observing what our guinea pigs are up to live live, and watching any highlight videos of milestones missed between our sessions. We will be also discussing the development of the guinea pigs and milestones they are reaching during the week. Every day there will be videos of the guinea pigs uploaded to the Guinea pig eBook with highlights and information so that students can see what our Guineapigs are up to each day. Week 1 - We will observe our pregnant guinea pigs. This week we will start to learn about Guinea pigs in general. What there needs are, how they interact, what they eat and more. Our first litter should be born or very close to by this stage. Week 2 - We will be looking at the first 24 hours of their life and how the mother guinea pigs look after their babies. We will also be learning about how they grow Week 3 - Our Second litter should be born this week. We will be able to compare the two litters and learn about how the 1st litter is getting ready to leave home!

Learners will have the opportunity be observing live guinea pig feeds as well as seeing the guinea pigs live during class. Guinea pigs are live animals and may sometimes act in unexpected ways.
This class will follow the progress from pregnancy to birth to weaning. This raises a number of things to be aware of.
- If watching the live feed you may see the birth of the guinea pigs.
- Just like all animals on rare occasions the babies do not survive the birth. This is rare but is a possibility.
- Even more rare but possible the mother guinea pig will sometimes eat a baby that does not survive - If this does happen it will not be shown in class but may be seen if you are watching the live feed.
-This class includes the birth of Guinea Pigs. This can be a little messy to watch but is an amazing experience. It will not be shown during class however the recording will be available in the classroom for students to watch at parents discression
