Description
Class Experience
By the end of the course students should be able to - describe each stage of the monarch butterflies life - explain the butterfly life cycle - understand the words metamorphasis and chrysalis - know what a butterfly needs at each stage of it's life.
I have run a number of live lifecycle classes through Outschool and in person. This is the 4th in my watch me grow series of live lifecycles. I work closely with a butterfly farm to support the process. I am also a qualified primary and early childhood (kinder) teacher and volunteer at my local sanctuary.
Optional but students can watch the live feed between classes to see what is happening.
Printable workbook for the 6 weeks will be provided at the start of the course in PDF form. If you have the ability to do so, this can be used digitally if you prefer.
The learner will have a completed workbook by the end of the course with a record of their learning.
50 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
This class includes live animals and as such can sometimes be unpredictable. Sometimes some of the caterpillars do not survive. We will be discussing life cycles of animals in this class.
